Two radish. 1/2 cup small onions. 2 drumsticks. Anyother vegetables of your choice. Chopped tomato.
Boil 1/2 cup dhal. Add vegetables except tomato and let it cook. Add tamrind water to taste. Let it continue to boil. Add tomato. Let it boil till cooked. In a separate vessel, heat 2 tbsp oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves, 2-3 red chillies and 3 tbsp sambar powder. Add this to the dhal. Mix well. Sambhar is ready to serve.
